Despite a rocky start to their
friendship, it would seem that Lorde and Taylor Swift have fast become
the closest of friends – with Lorde revealing that she is in regular
contact with Taylor!In a recent interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Lorde stated that she is constantly texting Swift for everything from decorating advice to gift ideas!

After running into trouble deciding on a Christmas gift for her manager, Lorde texted Taylor during her interview with the magazine for her advice.
She said, “Taylor's super-good at this stuff. She's decorated her own houses for ages.”
The friendship is a little bizarre given Lorde publicly dissed Taylor before the two became friends, with the singer telling New Zealand’s Metro magazine, “Taylor Swift is so flawless and so unattainable, and I don't think it's breeding anything good in young girls.”
But that is now all water under the bridge – with Taylor starting off their friendship by sending Lorde flowers as congratulations for Royals hitting number one. App[arently at the time she wasn’t aware of Lorde’s comments.
Upon finding out Lorde said, “She was like, 'It's fine. If all you've done is call someone perfect, it's not that bad.’”
Lorde now praises Taylor’s talents and her ability to really speak for the teenage audience – as a “real teenage voice” as Lorde has dubbed her.
“There are very few of us," she told Rolling Stone. "There's Tavi [Gevinson] and the Rookie [Mag] group, King Krule, and, to an extent, Jake Bugg. The other teenagers sing other people's songs, which is fine, but it's not an authentic teenage experience."
